In Superior Court, in September 2020, we won! We immediately won that the government appealed the decision to the Court of Appeal.

In September 2021, the Court of Appeal agreed with the Government of Quebec and we therefore filed an Application for Leave to Appeal with the Supreme Court from Canada.

On March 10, 2022, the Supreme Court of Canada accepted our request for appeal.

On September 15, 2022, the Supreme Court heard the arguments of Me Maxime Guérin of Groupe SGF during a historic first visit by the Supreme Court of Canada to Quebec in 150 years of history!

4 plants at home in Quebec

Groupe SGF brought, on behalf of plaintiff Janick Murray-Hall, an action against the Quebec government which prohibits the cultivation of 4 cannabis plants per household as in the rest of Canada (with the exception of Manitoba, which also forbids it).
