It is within Groupe SGF - Cannabis Legal Advisors and Consultants, of which he is the main manager, that Me Maxime Guérin has developed expertise in order to support applicants for authorized producer licenses with Health Canada in addition to helping entrepreneurs from all walks of life to develop their business projects in the cannabis industry.

He supports entrepreneurs in their administrative procedures, but also in those relating to financing and strategic business partnerships. Among other things, Me Guérin is piloting with his associates the legal action to have the Quebec law that prohibits the home cultivation of cannabis plants annulled. This case led Me Guérin to the Supreme Court of Canada in 2022.

Groupe SGF – Cannabis Consultants therefore wants to be the Quebec reference in terms of cannabis law, whether for obtaining licenses or for starting a business.

As the services related to the cannabis industry are special, Me Guérin has joined the services of mindiCANNA Inc., namely the first licensed micro-producer in Quebec and of which Me Guérin is a 20% shareholder :

• MindiCANNA (Daniel Lessard)- Cannabis micro-producer and associated cannabis consulting firm. In the attached photo, Maxime is accompanied by Daniel Lessard, co-founder of mindiCANNA and consultant specializing in cannabis cultivation and the standards imposed by Health Canada for obtaining a license as a licensed cannabis producer.
